The new series, First Phonics, in Oxford Reading Tree is designed to allow children to practice phonics while learning to read. At Stage 1+, these rhyming stories promote phonological awareness and include phonically decodable nouns as well as sight-cueable words. Additionally, readers will have the opportunity to practice sight vocabulary from Reception and Year 1, with the support of flexible and FREE Teaching Notes included in each Pack. Take-Home Cards for every book further support the Home-School Agreement. Each book at Stage 1+ includes 1-2 sentences per page, emphasizing rhythm and rhyme.
